Images have been a strong communication mean for me since I was a child, and I have been drawing since forever.
With time I became aware of how much I enjoy it, and then of how much it helps me expressing feelings and sentiments, as well as clearing my mind.
As I started traveling sketchbooks became usual companions, together with an old pencil case full of all kinds of colors. Now I prefer to use thin pens or felt pens, and sometimes watercolors.
I have never had any education in figurative art but I’ve kept my eyes open, and gathered hints and advices now and then, when I have met artists on my way.
A great moment for this dimension of my creative work arrived in early 2019, when I moved to UK and I found out I had as neighbor an amazing artist, just on the other side of the fence. Her name is Harriet Lowther (here you can visit her lovely Etsy Shop) and her presence and friendship -and fierce support- brought me back to drawing with a new energy and passion, that continue now.

StoriaCortaLunga “Pigiami da Sogno” – LongStoryShort “Dream Pajamas”
A short illustrated story for children, on the topic of dreams and ecology. It came from the additional time I got at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology when the pandemic started, interrupting my project New Worlds and canceling by flights back home. Story, artwork reading and activities are originally created and drawn by me. Special thanks to Brie Schettle for helping with the video! Shot in Morley House’s courtyard, Sitka Center Campus, May 2020.
